The service
SF Crew helps members offer rooms, find matching openings, and communicate with one another. Membership is currently $10 as a one-time payment, with any applicable taxes disclosed at checkout. Existing eligible paid members can connect their membership without paying again after ownership is confirmed. Contact support about payment errors or refund requests.
SF Crew does not guarantee a match, listing accuracy, member identity, or a successful rental. Membership payment is an access requirement, not a background check. Members are responsible for evaluating listings, checking rental authority, and agreeing to leases and payments directly with one another. SF Crew does not collect rent or deposits through member conversations.
AI assistance and remembered preferences
SF Crew uses AI to help interpret plain-English housing requests and guide you through supported searches, posts, and member interactions. The AI can misunderstand requests or make mistakes. Review the details shown before confirming an action, and independently check listings and availability. AI assistance does not verify a person or property, make rental decisions, or guarantee a match.
We remember supported housing preferences you share, such as neighborhoods, monthly budget, timing, and housing type, in a private account profile. These preferences help us avoid repeating questions and provide starting points for later searches. They are not commitments or permanent requirements: new preferences you give take priority, and expired move-in dates are not reused.
You can review remembered preferences and their change history in your account, or text “what do you remember about me”. Say “start a fresh search” to search without past preferences, or “forget my housing preferences” to clear the remembered profile. Forgetting preferences does not cancel a saved search, change your text-alert settings, or erase separate member conversations and service records. You can manage your saved search and text updates separately.
Private member-to-member messages are not copied into this preference profile. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we retain, how service providers support the AI feature, and your privacy choices.
Member responsibilities
Provide accurate information and post only openings and photos you are authorized to share. Do not use the service for scams, harassment, unlawful discrimination, spam, or sharing another person's private information without permission. Respect other members' decisions to decline, block, or stop a conversation. We may restrict access while reviewing abuse reports or payment disputes. Report concerns through the service or contact support.
SMS Terms
The SF Crew messaging program includes membership updates, room posting, matching alerts, and private member conversations by SMS or MMS. Text ROOMIE to (628) 287-9018 to start signup. You will be asked to explicitly opt in before ongoing updates are enabled. Message frequency varies with your searches, postings, and conversations. Message and data rates may apply.
Messaging consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing membership. You can use the website without enabling ongoing SMS updates. Payment and Facebook membership do not constitute SMS consent. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. You will receive an opt-out confirmation; your membership remains active. Reply START to resume texts. Reply HELP for assistance or email hellosfcrew@gmail.com.
Delivery depends on your carrier and service availability. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. SF Crew texting is not an emergency service. Tell support if you change your phone number. Your data is handled under our Privacy Policy.
Availability and updates
Features and availability may change. We will post updated terms here with a revised date. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
